MathsWatch

Frequently Asked Questions

One-Minute Maths?

What’s the idea behind it?
As Maths teachers:
We teach a topic (beautifully).
Our classes understand the topic.
They answer questions on it.
They have mastered the topic.
Four weeks later they have forgotten everything.
One-Minute Maths lets them revise these ‘mastered’ topics quickly and efficiently.

We would like to place the MathsWatch clips on our VLE. Can we buy a site licence to enable us to do this?

Yes you can.
We have an expert technician who has produced everything in a SCORM compliant package.
IT people love SCORM packages. They are easy to place onto your VLE and won’t crash your system when 150 students log on at the same time.
A network version is available on request.

Why have you put Higher and Foundation tiers on one disc?

Increasingly, schools are buying our discs for Y10 students to use for the two years of their course. During this time quite a few of them will change tier of entry. Both tiers on one disc saves having to buy another disc.

We already have a site licence. Can we get the updated clips and One-Minute Maths before we renew the licence?

Yes you can.
Just send us a stamped addressed envelope and we will send you an updated SCORM package free of charge.

Can I use a MathsWatch disc in my IWB computer without a site licence?

Before you are a customer, please feel free to demonstrate the sample disc to students to show them why they should buy one.
When you are a customer, please use our discs to help with teaching as much as you like. It must be one disc per computer and nothing can be placed on a hard drive or network, please.

Who produces the MathsWatch discs?

Ken, Hamid and Emma. We are all full-time maths teachers - Ken is also an AST and subject leader.
Every video clip and worksheet we produce is extensively trialled with real classes in real schools, working towards the same goals as our customers - brilliant GCSE results.
